The Girl And The Boy Together

This Engagement Party Invite is just too cute not to share. Andrew's mother found this book he made when he was 6 years old. They incorporated it into their invite. I love how it's meaningful but fun at the same time! My favorite line: 'They tell jokes. And they laugh a lot.'

DIY: An Old Fashioned Soda Bar

If you want to add something fun to your cocktail hour or reception, think of doing an old fashioned soda bar.

Information was taken from the Project Wedding Website.

DIY: An Old Fashioned Soda Bar article photo

Old fashioned sodas add a fun and playful element to an event and can even be used as part of your decor! There are so many to reasons to love them: they are in pretty glass bottles, lots of times with original vintage-y logos on the packaging, and they are made with pure sugar cane, delicious! Plus you'll hear your grandpa excited when he finds his favorite soda from when he was nine!

We love them all set up arranged according to color or you can even just buy the color of flavors that go with your wedding. Instead of keeping them on ice, refrigerate them up until right before and line them up on a table or bar for maximum effect.

The hardest part of having old fashioned sodas is sourcing them. They can be difficult to come by. If you live in California BevMo has a very large selection of specialty sodas (and even ships them online if you can't find something local). Gourmet delicatessens and stores can also have good selections and we've even got lucky before at warehouse stores like Costco.

Add some fizz to your wedding day with gourmet sodas!

Happy 4th of July

Stumbled upon this real wedding at Green Wedding Shoes- check out her site for some serious inspirations!
The wedding was designed by the very creative Heather and her team at Amorology and the photography is by the talented Jamie Hammond. Picture perfect event for 4th of July, carnival inspired wedding!

The color palette was aqua, red and soft cotton candy pink.

The invitation was created by Details by Ramey and it was a perfect introduction to the fun that was to come. Included in the invitation was a large ticket that was redeemable at the ticket booth for tickets to be used throughout the night. Each guest was handed enough tickets to visit each vendor at the carnival.

The tables were placed with various shades of rolls of tickets that raised up the centerpieces and gave height to the gorgeous arrangements of dusty miller, peonies, roses, stock and gerberaTwigg Botanicals. Mason jars tied with red grosgrain ribbon also found their way to the table to serve as candle votives.

I love this candy booth filled with all types of candy. The custom pennants were made by Jenn of Pincushion Princess and hung against the striped booth backdrops that Armorology created. All of the vintage style ticket signs were designed by Courtney Scowby Designs. The cake was done by Heidleburg Bakery in Orange County.

Looking for a chic place to throw a bridal shower?

Looking for a chic place to throw a bridal shower? CHI- Nail Bar & Organic Spa opened beginning of this year in Beverly Hills near the Rodeo Dr area - right down the street from Sprinkles (yum!) on Little Santa Monica. The setting is just perfect to throw a bridal shower, to hang out with the girls & to get your nails done before the big day. They go to great measures to keep everything extremely clean and they do not reuse their files and all the metal tools are sanitized in an surgical sterilizer.
For a private party all guest come together and the host can bring drinks, food, music, gifts and decorations*. There is an additional location rental fee of $50.00 an hour during store hours or $75.00 after hours.

I am definitely loving their foot spa area...
