Quick Update- I'll be MIA for a while...

We're moving to Fullerton this weekend so I probably won't have much access to Internet for couple of days. Sad to say but I won't be blogging much either when my in laws get here from Korea. It's about time I take out some cooking books that have been collecting dust from the book shelf. :) But I will definitely share this month's wedding photos from some FAB photographers when I receive them SOON! Time flies so quickly these days....
If you need to reach me, please call my cell.
--------------------------------------------------------
We're not even half way done with packing and I didn't realize how much stuff we collected over the years. Packing is not fun at all but going through some old pictures brings back good memories. I thought it will be fun to share some old pictures with you before I turn off the computer to do some more packing.

I'm not quite sure how old I was in this picture. I'm thinking around seven or eight?? I guess I was visiting my cousins in Korea.

Haha! During my Junior & Senior year in high school. Hey, I'm not the only one who took these shots! We all did!!

LEFT- Year of 1999 when we went on Summer Missions together to Kazahkstan. Wow.. we've known each other for 10 years & Bobby had hair back then...
RIGHT- Year of 2003 @ Getty's Museum when we officially started dating. Then we broke up couple months after that. :)

Sylvia & Dongmin Tie the Knot (Part II)

Sylvia & Dongmin's part II is finally here! I had a wonderful time catching up with these two love birds for lunch today after the wedding and I'm sure they'll be even more tired as they fly out to Singapore for a 2nd reception, then to Texas for a 3rd one. Talk about a true celebration for the whole month! I know I say this all the time, but I really love this couple....Dongmin's calm & gentle spirited and Sylvia's bright & bubbly personality... They're total opposites, but you know what they say about how opposites attract!
Before I give off any of the detailed images, this shot of Sylvia has to be MY FAVORITE SHOT.
All photos courtesy of oh so talented Jennifer S. Rau

My creation

Dongmin & the groomsmen looking too sexy & sleek in their Hugo Boss suits.

The girls are wearing ButterbyNadia dresses a.k.a the magic dress that can be wrapped incalculable ways.

Loving this shot of the whole bridal party!

Awesome aisle treatment by Fiore Flower and isn't Sylvia's little sister such a cutie?? Sylvia also bought these cute hair pieces from Chelsea's "oh, my deer for all the bridesmaids

Loved the architectural backdrop of the library and awesome job on the lighting from Luna Party Rentals

My creation
Ring bearer pillow was specially made by Brooklyn Bride , the purple shoes were from Rickard Shah & the special cufflinks were purchased from Etsy.
My creation
Kayla of Kayla's Kakes went above and beyond with the dessert bar. I had one of my assistants guard the table because we saw some guests sneaking into the dessert bar before the bride and groom even cut the cake :)
My creation
Personalized cookies, mini cupcakes, individually wrapped Hershey's chocolates, meringue and macaroons and so much more!!
My creation
we had guests fill out their favor/place boxes and personalized bags to take their favorite desserts of the evening.
My creation
Kayla's two tier fondant cake with purple anemones to match the bridal bouquet.

The sweetheart table was set up in front of their office building where they first met each other. They said it was love at first sight!

Kissing balls and white lanterns hung on the tree where they tied the knot...
My creation
we also placed each silver napkin with dried lavender with personalized menu cards
My creation
Instead of the boring table numbers, we set up 13 different city names that Dongmin and Sylvia traveled. From Madrid, Sydney, Austin, Seoul to New York.. Each table had its own city theme as the background. Guest book was purchased by a local etsy seller.
My creation
Patina is known for their top notch service & food... everything was scrumptious!

Just finished another fab wedding and I am counting down the days for when my in-laws get here from Korea to watch the baby. I'm totally getting myself a magic straight perm, facial message & date nights to watch a movie with my hubby... Gosh.. I really can't recall the last time I watched a movie................ and time to just hang out with girlfriends without the baby!! woohoo!!!!!

Even if you need to cut back on centerpieces, you want to splurge on your bridal bouquet since it will be photographed the most. Remember that your florist cannot read your mind even if you like his/her work!!!! Nancy Liu Chin has written a blog entry on "Avoiding disappointments"at weddingbeepro and I could not agree more when she wrote "Pink to me could mean light pink, dark pink, bubble gum pink, blush pink, coral pink, salmon pink. Showing vendors what you mean is almost as important as communicating what you expect."
Speaking of bridal bouquet, bouquet embellishments is a growing trend and options are truly endless. It can be something old or borrowed, I encourage all brides to introduce their unique touches to their wedding, go at it and have fun!

Here are some brooches I found on Etsy under $10 dollars!

Vendor Spotlight: Amelia Lyon Photography

I have been a huge fan of her work for sometime now and I thought I would share some of her fabulous work for those who haven't heard of Amelia Lyon yet.
Theresa & Dan's wedding images have been floating around the blog world for quite a while, (Junebug Weddings recently featured their wedding) but these are some of the best shots I've seen!
